Bookkeeping, tax and financial statements. Any bank, any currency.

Books that work in every country you do.

Upload a statement from any bank. Yako turns it into a reviewed ledger, financial statements and the tax you owe, in your currency and under your tax rules. AI prepares. Your team approves. Your tax adviser or auditor is one scoped invite away.

15-day free trial · No card · Everyone on your team included

Built for

For operators who run the business faster than their books can keep up. Several companies, several currencies, an accountant you like and still wait on. Yako puts the answer in your hands, from books your team approved and your auditor can trace.

The Yako Overview for a demo company in Dubai: what needs attention today, inflow, outflow, net revenue, cash balance, net margin, reconciliation progress and the VAT deadline

The Overview, from a demo company’s books. What you’ll see in your first session: upload a bank statement and Yako builds the ledger, the trial balance and the tax you owe.

How it works

From a bank statement to books your accountant will sign, in three steps.

No bank feed required, so it works with every bank on earth, including the ones no aggregator connects to. Upload a PDF, CSV or Excel statement and the lines are read in about 30 seconds.

Bank lines read from a statement: date, description and amount, each waiting for an account

1 · Upload

Any bank, any format

Yako finds the header row, works out which column is the date, description, debit, credit and balance, and reads the many date formats banks use. The same file twice is recognised, so nothing is doubled.

Group by similar: thirteen fuel station lines grouped so one account codes them all

2 · Review and approve

Coded by you, your team or the agent. Approved by a person.

Group by similar codes 13 fuel payments in one step. Coding and approving are separate permissions. Only an approval posts the journal, stamped with who approved it.

Profit and loss for a month beside the month before, from the posted ledger

3 · Reports and tax

Statements and the tax you owe, from the posted ledger

Trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and the VAT return in your authority’s own boxes. Click any figure to see the lines behind it, and the document behind those.

Why Yako

Three things, together, that no other tool offers an owner.

Each one is already true in the product. Together they are a position: books for businesses that don’t fit in one country, with your accountants and advisers in the loop.

Works anywhere

Any bank, any currency, any tax regime. Statements as PDF, CSV or Excel. One base currency per company, foreign-currency accounts with month-end revaluation, tax registrations per jurisdiction.

Governed, not guessed

AI prepares every line. A named person approves it. Every figure traces to its source. Separate coding and approval rights, an audit trail, period locks with a written reason. The agent never posts.

Outside help, scoped

Your in-house finance team works as members, unlimited. A tax adviser, auditor or outside firm is invited for exactly the work, for exactly the period. They propose; your team approves. Access ends on its own.

The rule behind everything

Stop typing numbers. Ratify them.

Every transaction moves from uncoded to coded to approved. Coding is preparation, by a person, in bulk, or by the Bookkeeper agent. Approval is a person’s decision, and it posts the journal in the same moment, stamped with their name.

Change an approved line and its journal is voided and posted again. Every action sits in the audit trail with who did it and when.

The agent’s reasoning and confidence sit beside every suggestion. Risky items are never approved in bulk.

Yako does the routine work

An agent for the bookkeeping. An assistant for the questions. An inbox for the paper.

The repetitive part of keeping books is coding lines, matching payments, chasing receipts and answering “where are we on VAT?”. Yako takes that on. A person still approves everything that reaches the ledger.

Hire it

Early access

The Bookkeeper agent

Hire it for a company and it works through your bank lines as statements arrive and once a day: codes them with its reasoning and a confidence, matches payments to invoices and bills, pairs transfers between your own accounts, flags duplicates and unusual amounts, keeps a month-end checklist, lists receipts to chase, emails your team for what it needs, and reports on its week.

Ask Yako

Open it from any page. The Financial analyst answers from your actual ledger and says where to check the figures. The Product guide answers “how do I…” with the steps.

The Ask Yako panel with its two tabs, Financial analyst and Product guide, and suggested questions such as how is my business doing right now

Read only. It explains and reports; it never changes your books and never tries to sell you anything.

Your company’s own inbox

Every company gets an email address. Forward a receipt, a bill or a bank statement and it lands in the vault with the key fields read out; statements go to the import queue. When the Bookkeeper agent emails your team for a missing statement or an answer, reply, and the file or the answer lands on exactly that line.

WhatsApp

Send a receipt or a statement from WhatsApp and it’s filed in the vault. Ask “what’s my cash position?” and the Financial analyst answers from your books, from the number you verified.

You: what’s our cash position?

Yako: AED 530,360 at Emirates NBD as of today. 8 lines are waiting for approval and aren’t in that figure.

You: email me September’s P&L

Yako: I’ll send September’s P&L to your own email. Reply YES to confirm.

Anything that sends something anywhere is proposed by Yako and confirmed by you, never inferred. Email goes only to your own address.

Works anywhere

Your country’s taxes, set up the way your accountant files them.

Every tax is configurable per company: the rate, how often you file, which authority or state it belongs to, and withholding on bills. Yako then tracks each obligation and its deadline, keeps the filing and the receipt with the period, and compares what the books say you owe with what you declared and paid.

Configurable, anywhere

Your taxes, your rules, today

VAT or sales tax, payroll taxes, withholding, corporate tax: add each one your business is registered for and Yako works out what’s due from the ledger, flags the deadline and keeps the proof. Every African currency, AED, USD, GBP, EUR and more.

Several companies, several countries

One login. One bill. A set of books for each company.

Each company is its own workspace with its own currency, fiscal year, chart of accounts and tax registrations, so one company’s numbers never mix with another’s. Switch between them from the same login.

Your in-house team is a member of each; your tax adviser can have an engagement in each.

One organisation, four companies, in Accra, Dubai and Lagos. One card pays for all of them.

For accounting firms and fractional CFOs

Run your clients’ books on Yako. Or review the books they keep.

A workspace for each client, each with its own ledger, currency and tax rules, under one login and one bill. Your bookkeeper codes, your senior approves, your client sees every figure and its source. And when a client already runs Yako, they invite you for exactly the work.

Your practice on Yako

A workspace per client, one legal entity each. Nothing crosses between them. Your whole team included; volume pricing per client's books, never per person.

Maker and checker, built in

Coding and approving are separate rights, so a junior prepares and a senior signs off. Every action in the audit trail with a name and a time.

The Bookkeeper agent, per client

Hire it for the clients whose coding is routine. It prepares, flags and reports; your team approves every item.

Invited by a client

A scoped engagement with start and end dates: export, propose journals they ratify. No seat, no shared password, nothing to remember to remove.

Pricing

One price per company. Everyone included.

Your whole team, in-house accountants included, and any outside adviser or auditor. No per-person charge, ever. The trial ends without a charge; you add a card when you decide to stay. The Bookkeeper agent is optional and billed separately, per company you hire it for.

Common questions

The three things people ask before signing up.

I already use another accounting tool. Can I switch?

Yes. Start from the default chart for your country, enter your opening balances, and import last year's P&L and balance sheet so your trends have history from day one. Many owners run both tools for a quarter while their accountant checks. Everything exports to CSV or Excel at any time, so the move is never one-way.

What happens to my data?

It’s yours. It is never used to train AI models. It’s encrypted at rest by our hosting providers and travels over HTTPS. Export it or ask us to delete it whenever you like. Our certification status is stated plainly on the Trust centre, and we don’t claim what we haven’t got.

Is my country supported?

Yako works anywhere. The UAE and Nigeria are built in: rules, return layouts and deadlines maintained by Yako. Everywhere else, taxes are configurable: you set the rate, frequency and jurisdiction and Yako tracks the filings and payments. See the full list on Tax by country.

Try it for 15 days. No card.

Upload a real statement and see your first P&L in minutes. If it’s not a fit, walk away clean. Your data exports, and the trial ends without a charge.
